This publication is the result of the «imagination» class during the fourth semester at the Academy of Art and Design in Basel. From a given film title an individual topic had to be developed.
Split in to parts separatly bound to the cover opposite to each other the publication shows to the left hand the process which led to the final selection of images in the second part to the right. The final series contains compositions based on pictures and parts torn out of newspapers. Through manual interventions the selected pictures of people where transfered to a context of Christian tradition and art history. Thereby gestures and poses that are used to construct meaning in media images as well as aspects of western image tradition are highlighted.
